Anastasia Peck worked as an Assistant Professor of English at the Cyprus University of Technology, from January 2011 until her retirement in August 2022, where she taught English for Specific Purposes. She is now an Honorary Research Fellow in the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology. She holds a BEd (Honours), as well as an MA in the
‘Teaching and Learning of English and Literacy’ from the Institute of Education, London. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in English Studies from Thames University and the Cambridge Diploma in English Studies from Westminster University. She has taught extensively
[...]over the years (1986-2022) at private as well as public schools and Tertiary Colleges where she had the opportunity to train and develop students of all ages in verbal and written expressions, introducing them to the diversity of cultural and linguistic aspects of the English language.
Before joining the Cyprus University of Technology, Anastasia Peck worked at the Higher Technical
Institute of Technology (HTI 1998-2010), as a Senior Lecturer of English and Technical Reports, and introduced a number of students to the specific types of English as well as how to write reports and other genre, preparing them successfully for the relevant exams both in Cyprus and other Universities abroad. Also, for a number of years she was the Co-Chief Editor and later the Chief Editor of the prestigious HTI Review annual publication.
During her long professional career, she has attended a large number of conferences and seminars both in Cyprus as well as abroad and kept herself constantly informed and prepared in any new developments and technologies available for the teaching and learning of English.
