Master’s Program in Public Health at CUT

Νέα-Ανακοινώσεις

The Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health (CII) at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is currently accepting applications for its Master’s program in Public Health (MPH).

The MPH program has been designed with the overarching goal of delivering a top-tier training curriculum that has been built upon the CII’s long-standing experience in public health educational and research activities and its more than ten (>10) years of association with the Harvard School of Public Health. The CII was the first research institute in Cyprus that dealt exclusively with public and environmental health issues.

The program relies upon an integrated, interdisciplinary curriculum taught by distinguished faculty from the Cyprus University of Technology and from other leading schools of public health. All students who enroll in the program will receive essential training in basic principles and methods for public health, as well as in key areas of public health practice (including global health, health policy, administration and economics, health education and promotion).

The program is intended to be useful for medical doctors, nurses and other health professionals interested in public health, for mathematicians and statisticians responsible for disease monitoring and surveillance, and for graduates in other relevant fields (i.e. biology, psychology etc.) that aspire in specializing in public health.

The program can be completed either in 14 months or on a part-time basis (~2 days per week) over a period of 26 months. Classes take place in the afternoon (from 3:30pm onwards) and the master’s thesis may be completed in absentia at any relevant organization.

The CII is an official member of The Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER). Τhe MPH program is nationally and internationally accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E.) and the European Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA), respectively.

For more information on the MPH program and how to apply, please visit the Institute’s website at www.cut.ac.cy/cii/. Αpplication deadline: March 31, 2019.
