Equivalence and Corresponding Students are the students who attend additional courses to have their degrees recognised by KY.S.A.T.S (the Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications) or E.T.E.K (the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber) or by other competent bodies. Corresponding students have, in proportion,  the obligations and rights of other students.

Applications

The Equivalence and Corresponding attendance requires the submission of an application, the approval of which is subject to the discretion of the Department concerned. Applications are submitted in June for Fall Semester and in October for Spring Semester.

Applications are placed on a priority list on the basis of the date indicated in the letter from KY.S.A.T.S or E.T.E.K or other competent bodies.

Attendance

• The attendance at the University is compulsory.
• Each Department appoints an Advisor to handle the Equivalence and Corresponding Students’ matters.
• Performance of occasional attendance students can be described as “Successful” or “Failed”.
• At the end of the course, the Equivalence and Corresponding Student receives a Transcript (not a Degree or Attendance certificate or a Diploma Supplement).

At the end of attendance, the occasional attendance student is awarded a certificate of attendance and a Transcript.  

Tuition fees

Equivalence and Corresponding Students pay a tuition fee of € 80 per credit unit (including laboratory classes). In the case of a module examination repetition, the students shall pay anew the tuition fees.
