Fayu Wang currently works at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics, Cyprus University of Technology. He does research in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Earthquake Engineering. His main research field is composite structures, including steel-concrete composite structures and composite masonry structures.
Fayu obtained his bachelor and master’s degrees from the School of Civil Engineering, Jilin Jianzhu University. He used to be the President of the Student Union of Jilin Jianzhu University and he was awarded as Outstanding Graduated Cadre and Outstanding Postgraduate Student. He also participated in the research work of a project ‘Failure mechanism research for lightweight
[...]steel and foam concrete composite structure’ funding from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). And now he is studying for a PhD degree as well as working for the project ‘SupERB - Novel integrated approach for seismic and energy upgrading of existing buildings’ which is funded by the Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) of Cyprus.
