Congratulations to Marios Constantinou for receiving Best Student Presentation Award at the Panhellenic Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science

The Research Fellow and PhD candidate of the Unit Marios Constantinou has received the Best Student Presentation Award at the Panhellenic Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science that was held on 18-21 of September 2016 at Ioannina, Greece. The study he presented was titled “Nanomechanical characteristics of pulsed-laser deposited DLC films with metallic (Ag, Mo) nanoinclusions” with M. Constantinou, M. Pervolaraki, P. Nikolaou, C. Prouskas, P.C. Kelires, P. Patsalas, J. Giapintzakis, G. Constantinides as co-authors. The study, which is the result of the collaboration between researchers from Cyprus University of Technology, University of Cyprus, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University of Ioannina, was part of the PhD thesis of Marios Constantinou in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering of CUT under the supervision of Dr. Georgios Constantinides.
