Degree in Electrical Engineering

I am interested in this programme!

STRUCTURE & CONTENT

The continued technological revolution of the 21st century transforms societies and dramatically changes people's lifestyles, as well as the way they think.

The global high-tech industry relies heavily on applied results of electrical engineering, which makes electrical engineering the protagonist in a wide range of research, scientific and professional activities. From everyday use of smartphones, industrial control systems, applications to medical practice to communications and the utilization of natural resources, they all have at their core the understanding of the electronic properties of materials, the transfer of information and the ability to create integrated systems.

The BSc in Electrical Engineering degree is a four-year program and includes compulsory infrastructure and advanced specialization courses, English language courses for academic purposes and elective courses from other departments of the University.

It combines strong theoretical scientific knowledge with excellent training in the design, analysis, and evaluation of electrical and electronic systems. It focuses on higher mathematics, physics, electrical circuit analysis, communication systems, digital signal processing, etc. In addition, the program offers capstone design knowledge and experience and a range of elective courses from other disciplines of engineering. The program also includes a series of laboratory courses conducted in the state-of-the-art electrical engineering laboratories of the University.

The graduates of the program are eligible to register as members of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK) enjoying all the professional rights of the Engineer.
