Διαδικτυακή Ομιλία Monitoring Environmental and Physical Deprivation in Urban Areas using Advancements in Earth Observation
The EXCELSIOR H2020 project, the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE) and the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of the Cyprus University of Technology organize a virtual invited talk by Dr Monika Kuffer with title “Monitoring Environmental and Physical Deprivation in Urban Areas using Advancements in Earth Observation” .
About Dr Monika Kuffer, Associated Professor at Faculty ITC (University of Twente, The Netherlands). Her research focuses on remote sensing, urban spatial analysis, SDGs, urban equality and urban environments. She is co-chairing a network on deprivation area mapping IDEAMAPS. She is working on several research projects on urban deprivation and environment, SLUMAP, IDEAtlas and ACCOUNT. She is project director of two NUFFIC-funded training grants (IDeAMapSudan - Capacity strengthening for gender-responsive and sustainable urban development and DATA4HUMANRIGHTS, Nigeria). She is part of the Steering Committee of the Joint Urban Remote Sensing Event (JURSE), the Dutch representative of the European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSeL), and SIG chair for Developing Countries. She is also a member of the Steering Committee: EO for Sustainable Cities and Communities Toolkit. She has more than 80 publications. |
