Professor Socrates Pantelides (Vanderbilt University, Nashville, SA) has been honored by the Organizing Committee of the 27th Panhellenic Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science during the Opening Ceremony. An honour has also been delivered to Professor Sokrates Pantelides on behalf of the Limassol Municipality by Prof. Nikolaos Zamboglou. Professor Sokrates Pantelides was selected for his important scientific contributions in the field, but also for his invaluable services that for so many years is unconditionally offering in the various Research Centers and Physics and Materials Science Departments of Greece.
