Ms Maria Georgiou is an English language instructor at the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She holds a BA in English Language from Lancaster University (2012) and an MA in TESOL with Applied Linguistics from UCLan Cyprus (2013). She is currently a PhD student at the University of Cyprus, focusing on the use of Artificial Intelligence in language teaching and learning. 

Maria has been working in Higher Education since 2016 and her teaching spans a broad scope of topics including English for Academic Purposes (EAP), Academic Writing, Study & Research Skills, and Practical TESOL.

Maria’s academic interests centre on Linguistics, EAP (English for Academic Purposes), TESOL, and Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd).
