Andreas G. Philaretou, Ph.D., PMCMFT, author and lecturer, is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences in the School of Humanities, Social, & Education Sciences at European University Cyprus and Special Scientist at the Cyprus University of Technology. He has received his BS and MS degrees in Sociology, and his Ph.D. in Human Development, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA. In addition, he earned a Post-Masters Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy (PMCMFT).
