The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the Republic of Cyprus, is offering scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate studies to interested students from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, for studies commencing in September 2025.
*Applicants must hold a valid passport or ID Card proving that they have one of the eligible nationalities and be permanent residents of one of the eligible countries.
Which programs do these scholarships cover?
The scholarships apply to the following programs:

*Prior to commencing the 4-year undergraduate studies in the Bsc in Nursing program, successful applicants are required to complete a one-year Greek language course at the Language Centre of CUT in Limassol. The scholarship terms also cover the duration of this preparatory year.
**These are 3-year programs, taught in English, at the University’s Campus in Paphos and lead to the acquisition of a Higher Diploma.
What do these scholarships include?
For all the programs mentionmed above, the scholarships for successful candidates include:
- Full tuition coverage
- Accommodation in university dormitories for the full duration of studies*
- A monthly stipend of €500 for the full duration of studies:
- Provision of a laptop up to the value of €400
- Application fee for a permit to enter Cyprus (as determined by the state)
- Compulsory medical examinations for entry permit up to €150
- Airfare to visit home country up to €1,000*
- Application fee for issuance/renewal of a residence permit in Cyprus (as determined by the state)
- Compulsory medical examinations for residence permit up to €150
- Mandatory health certificate issued by a public hospital
- Individual insurance contract up to €180
- Special medical examinations up to €180
- Miscellaneous expenses up to €100
*Note: The living allowance is not provided during the summer months (July and/or August) if the student returns to his or her home country.
Who is eligible to apply, and what documents are required?
Applicants for the undergraduate programs must meet the following requirements and provide the necessary documentation:
- An official certificate of citizenship (copies of ID and valid passport) from one of the eligible countries
- A Leaving Certificate from Secondary Education from one of the eligible countries
- A certificate demonstrating proficiency in English
Applicants for the postgraduate PhD programs must meet the following requirements and provide the necessary documentation:
- An official certificate of citizenship (copies of ID and valid passport) from one of the eligible countries
- Photocopies of university degrees (BSc Degree and a MSc Degree from recognized universities in relevant fields)
- Detailed academic transcripts.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- English Language Proficiency Certificate: Acceptable certificates include G.C.E/I.G.C.S.E O level exams with a minimum grade of C, or IELTS/TOEFL scores with a minimum of 6.5 or 580 (paper-based test)/72 (internet-based test). Graduates from English-speaking university programs are exempt from this requirement
