Dr. Kyriakos M. Deliparaschos received his B.Eng. Hons degree in Electronics Engineering from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK, the M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics from De Montfort University and National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Signals, Control and Robotics, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA. After the completion of his Doctorate he was a Research Associate at the Intelligent Robotics and Automation Lab of NTUA. Currently he is Special Teaching Staff at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Informatics of Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), a Postdoctoral Research Fellow ([...]href="http://www.discus-fp7.eu/" onclick="window.open(this.href,'','resizable=yes,location=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,status=no,toolbar=no,fullscreen=no,dependent=no,width=800,height=600,left=200,top=200,status'); return false">DISCUS FP7 funded project,) with CTVR group at Trinity College, Dublin University, a Research Associate with the Robotics Control and Decision Systems (RCDS) Lab part of the Mechanical Engineering and Material Science and Engineering Department of the CUT, and also a member of the Intelligent Automation Systems research group (IAS) at NTUA. Prior to that, he was a Lecturer at the University of Greenwich and University of Hertfortshire in Athens and a Lab Assistant at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA. He has worked at the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS) and has been involved in several research programs, namely EPAN, EQUAL, PENED. Furthermore, he has worked for INTRACOM S.A. in the departments of Communications Systems and VLSI and at the Biomedical Engineering Department of Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.

His work has been published in peer reviewed international journals, conferences and book chapters in the area of robotics, control and electronics. His main research interests, focuses on digital VLSI and embedded systems, system modeling and ASIC/FPGA design and implementation of high-performance architectures for autonomous robotic systems (mobile and surgical robots), intelligent control systems and real-time artificial intelligence applications, IP-core design and Systems-on-Chip integration, HW/SW Co-design, high-level algorithmic synthesis and hardware-in-the-loop techniques.

Dr. Kyriakos M. Deliparaschos received his B.Eng.
