Darker than Black Paint

A novel two step approach for preparing carbon nanotube (CNT) systems exhibiting extraordinary combination of functional properties has been demonstrated. The exceptionally low optical reflection that these systems possess makes them promising candidates for solar thermal harvesting applications. The temperature increase on the surface of this material is higher than commercially available Black Paints. The results are presented in the high impact factor journal of ACS Nano (Impact Factor: 11.4).
