Andreas Kouspos holds a PhD in Shipping Finance from the Department of Commerce, Finance and Shipping at Cyprus University of Technology. Also, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. His research interests lie in the area of risk and return of global shipping activities. Before coming to CUT, Andreas graduated from University of Plymouth with the degree of MSc International Shipping. He also holds the degree of BSc Accounting and Finance from University of Essex. Being focused on his professional development, he is also studying for the professional qualification of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Beyond studies, he has worked in the shipping industry for more than a year. He has won the BDO LLP award for achieving the highest marks in Shipping Finance examinations of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers on May 2022. Andreas has also won the 1st prize in Let’s Talk Simple Science Competition that was taken place in April 2016 at CUT with his presentation topic “Credit risk analysis of shipping loans”.
