Dr. Olympia Nisiforou is certified in Quantitative Risk Management and Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies from Judge Business School Executive Education, Cambridge, UK. She holds a Bachelor of Science (hons) in Marine Science/Oceanography, a Master of Science (hons) in Learning in Natural Sciences, another Master of Science (hons) in Environmental Pollution Control, and a PhD from the Department of Environmental Science and Technology, specializing in pollution monitoring and control and renewable energy. She received a prestigious scholarship (0311/21 PENEK) from the Research Promotion Foundation for her doctoral dissertation.

Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Nisiforou has been honored with [...]academic excellence awards and competitive scholarships, including notable ones from institutions such as the Bank of Piraeus, Hellenic Bank, and UNESCO (2010/2011 Scholarship UNESCO Fellowships Program for Program Priorities), where she secured the first place globally.

She has extensive professional experience in multidisciplinary technical and research operations, locally and internationally, both as a principal investigator and a contributor covering a diverse array of projects, from fundamental research to applied research. Over the years, she has co-authored over 15 successful research proposals, securing funding from various sources, including the European Union and national bodiesed
