The postgraduate programme in Entrepreneurship and SME Management is designed to develop skilled entrepreneurs who can organize, manage, and take risks in startups. The programme equips executives with the knowledge needed to combine management, entrepreneurship, and SME growth for optimal business performance. Graduates will be prepared to create innovative and sustainable businesses that contribute positively to society.
Graduates of the Master's programme will be able to acquire the fundamental knowledge necessary for: (a) generating innovative ideas, (b) implementing these ideas through the establishment and operation of a business, (c) growing the business by identifying markets and accessing necessary resources, (d) securing and managing financial resources.
This postgraduate programme is designed for graduates of recognized higher education institutions who: a) aim to develop entrepreneurial ideas and start their own businesses, b) are owners or managers of small and medium-sized enterprises looking to grow their businesses, and c) are current or aspiring business managers who wish to design and implement successful business practices.
To obtain a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprise Management, students must successfully complete a total of 90 ECTS, including a Master's thesis worth 30 ECTS. The curriculum comprises 10 courses: 5 compulsory and 5 specialized. The Master's thesis commences in the third semester and lasts until the end of the semester, provided all prerequisites are fulfilled.
The Master's programme in Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprise Management is offered on a full-time basis (3 academic semesters) or part-time basis (4-8 academic semesters). In all cases, the programme culminates in the successful submission of a Master's thesis.
Holders of a degree from a recognized University, or holders of a degree that has been considered equivalent to a University degree by the Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S.) are eligible to apply for a Master's Degree. Also, undergraduate students who are expected to be awarded a University degree before the beginning of the Master’s programme can also apply for this programme.
