Information Systems

Our research focuses on emergent topics where digital technologies lead to improvements, changes in the process and practices, and unprecedented risks which bring disruption to the individual, organizational and social contexts. We explore how technologies such as AI, metaverse, data analytics, cloud computing are adopted and diffused, transforming how organizations operate and how employees engage with technology. Our work delves into the dynamics and complexity of technology use in organizations, including their potential to generate value, foster innovation, create digital ecosystems and enable new business models. Along these lines, we also examine the risks technologies pose for society including ethical dilemmas and values in IS policymaking. By connecting areas, we aim to explore how we can actively shape the evolving technological landscape and facilitate innovation without compromising societal well-being.
