Her research focuses on the business and social impact of technology including human-centered AI, metaverse, cloud computing and blockchain and emphasizing on topics relevant to digital innovation and entrepreneurship, digital business strategy, digital transformation, technology policy and technology adoption. Her work has been published in journals including Journal of the Association of Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology, Information Systems Frontiers and others. She has attracted funding and served as a principal investigator, co-principal institutional investigator or contributor in 20+ research projects funded by the European Commission and she has served as an evaluator for research proposals of the European. She is currently co-principal investigator of a network of 17 doctoral candidates on the topic of metaverse for business and social value.

She is currently serving as an Associate Editor at the European Journal of Information Systems and the Behaviour & Information Technology. She has served as a guest editor for various special issues in information systems and management journals and she served as Program Co-chair, Track Chair and Associate Editor of AIS-affiliated conferences (e.g., ICIS, ECIS, MCIS) over multiple years. She is a member of Cyprus’ national committee of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). In the past she has served as a member of Cyprus’ national committee of the Digital Championship and a mentor in multiple entrepreneurship centers and incubators in Cyprus and Greece as well as a committee member of several startup competitions.
