Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στον τομέα της Διοίκησης και Οργανωσιακής θεωρίας, αντλώντας έμπνευση από την κοινωνιολογία, τη φιλοσοφία, την πολιτική θεωρία και την ανθρωπιστική γεωγραφία. Ενδιαφέρεται ιδιαίτερα για τη διεπιστημονική και ποιοτική έρευνα, με ειδίκευση στις εναλλακτικές μορφές οργάνωσης και διοργάνωσης. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επεκτείνονται σε μια σειρά θεμάτων που σχετίζονται με τη διαχείριση ανθρώπινου δυναμικού και τη διοίκηση, όπως η οργάνωση του χώρου, η ευημερία των εργαζομένων, τα συναισθήματα και η στάση των εργαζομένων απέναντι στην εργασία. Τα τελευταία χρόνια, έχει συμμετάσχει σε σημαντικά χρηματοδοτούμενα έργα που σχετίζονται με την εκπαίδευση στην κοινωνική οικονομία και την οργάνωση της υγειονομικής περίθαλψης. Έχει δημοσιεύσει πολλά άρθρα σε μερικά από τα κορυφαία περιοδικά του τομέα του και οι περισσότερες από τις πρόσφατες δημοσιεύσεις του και τα έργα του που βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη βασίζονται σε συνεργασίες με οργανισμούς του τρίτου τομέα.

Είναι επί του παρόντος συντάκτης ενός ειδικού τεύχους για το περιοδικό Culture and Organization και ad hoc κριτικός για διάφορα περιοδικά, μεταξύ των οποίων τα Culture and Organization, Human Relations, Organization και Organization Studies. Στο παρελθόν έχει συμμετάσχει στην οργάνωση συνεδρίων και έχει διατελέσει μέλος της επιστημονικής επιτροπής διεθνών συνεδρίων.
