Prof. Maria Krambia-Kapardis (PhD (Edith Cowan University, Australia), M.Bus. (RMIT) and B.Ec (LaTrobe University, Australia) is currently a Professor of Accounting with a specialization in Forensic Accounting at the Cyprus University of Technology. Prof. Krambia-Kapardis has also served as the Associate Dean of the School of Management and Economics at the same University. Maria is the founder and first Chair of Transparency International-Cyprus (2010-2017), the founder and first president of the Economic Crime and Forensic Accounting Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (2010-2014) and a co-founder and member of the Board of the Cyprus Branch of [...]the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE- Cyprus) (2017- 2020). She is a Fellow member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and a Certified Fraud Examiner and has served as the country expert on corruption for the European Commission

Maria been awarded a number of prizes for her publications by Emerald Literati Network. The ACFE awarded her in 2019 the global Achievement in Outreach/Community Service Award for being an active contributor to her community and being committed to helping improve the quality of life where she lives and works. In December 2019 she was awarded the ACE Anti-Corruption Excellence Award in the academic research and education category.
