The Course in Management at the Cyprus University of Technology is offered through the collaboration of the two departments of the Faculty of Management and Economics, being the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management and the Department of Commerce, Finance and Shipping. The Course in Management offers a four-year undergraduate study programme in Management with directions in "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" or "Energy Resources Management", while allowing students to be exempted from number of modules required to obtain the professional title of certified accountant of the “ACA” programme of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales or the “ACCA” programme of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Graduates of the Course in Management will acquire knowledge and skills to develop strategic and operational business plans, deliver effective and innovative business solutions, using their know-how to lead groups of people to meet corporate goals. In particular, the direction in "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" builds the ability of students to use the fundamental knowledge needed to invent innovative ideas for the establishment and operation of start-ups.
The holders of the degree in Management will be able to apply for any job in the private or public sector, within or outside Cyprus, in the fields of science covered by the Degree, which are among others Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Strategy and Human Resource Management. In the 3rd year of study, students have the opportunity to choose to work in a real business within the framework of "Traineeship" for a full semester. In this way, they are given the opportunity to understand the challenges, problems and trends in the field of modern business, in real working conditions.
