Margaritis Antoniades is currently a member of the Special Teaching Staff (09/22 – today), at the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management, Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Professions (HHIC) of the Cyprus University of Technology. Mr. Antoniades holds a Bachelor (B.Sc.) in Hospitality Administration, obtained from Florida State University and a Master in Business Administration with specialization in Public Administration obtained from the Mediterranean Institute of Management in Nicosia.
For the period between September 2005 – August 2022 holded the position of Hospitality Instructor at the Higher Hotel Institute of Cyprus. His responsibilities included the teaching of courses in
[...]both programs of studies at the Institute – in Hotel and Tourism Management and Culinary Arts Programs – such as Food and Beverage Management, Kitchen Management, Menu Planning, Food and Beverage Controls & Systems, Hospitality and Professionalism and other related courses. Other duties included the coordination of the committee of external lecturers and the coordination of the Core Learning committee of the Institute. He was also a member of the committee for the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the practical training of the students in the Hotel, Food and Tourism Industry, participated in Final Year Project evaluation committees and was a member of the Institute’s food and beverage control committee.
Mr. Antoniades holds an extensive experience in Hotel Management since he has worked in the hospitality industry of Cyprus for eighteen years (03/1987 – 08/2005), holding at first supervisory and later management positions. His duties included the smooth operation of all hotel departments, the recruitment, hiring and training of staff and even monitoring their performance with emphasis on the management of the food and beverage department, having an ongoing focus on profitability and growth of that department.
