Description:
The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program is a full-time program for 3 years, aiming at preparing students for immediate employment and advancement at a supervisory/managerial level.
The program is offered in English and corresponds to Level 5 of the European/National Qualifications Framework.
It is particularly targeted towards individuals interested in understanding how modern hospitality units and tourist enterprises operate, as well as how decisions are made in tourism management. Prospects and employment opportunities include Hotels and restaurants, Tourist resorts, Cruise ships and airlines, Tourist agencies and organizations, Theme parks, Event management organizations, conferences, etc.
Programme Structure:
The first year involves general preparation, and specialization begins from the second year, with three thematic specializations: a) Accommodation, b) Food and beverage, and c) Tourism. In the third year of studies, courses focus on a supervisory/managerial level, with extensive practical application, cultivating modern tourism professionals. During their studies, students undertake internships in the domestic tourism industry.
To obtain a Higher Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management, completion of 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). This corresponds to 3 years of study. To obtain a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management, completion of 120 ECTS. This corresponds to 2 years of study.
