Dear Students and Colleagues,
During yesterday's (8.4.2020) session, the Senate ratified the Framework and guidelines for distance method evaluations for each course (click here to download), with the aim of completing the examination period until June 7.
We are considering the framework of the university community and we ask that the framework be carefully studied. The framework, which provides the necessary flexibility, has been formed on the basis of the international academic practice, the recommendations of the national body DIPAE and after the views of the representatives of our students have been taken seriously. For any questions / questions regarding the framework, please contact the Head of Student Services at vassilis.protopapas@cut.ac.cy.
In the coming days, until April 30, we will have to continue the good work that is being done to complete the courses, to cover the material and to prepare teachers and students for the distance assessment. Each instructor / instructor-teacher of the course will have until April 16 to decide on the remote evaluation methods he / she chooses as well as any changes in the factors in relation to the original course schedule that was distributed. Any changes or adaptations to the syllabus that are needed, students should be informed and asked for their opinion. The final word decided by the instructor of the course, who should inform the President of the Department about his / her decisions, by notifying the evaluation methods and the factors to the students and to the Student Services at (studies@cut.ac.cy)
Student Services, in collaboration with each Department and based on the choices and needs of each program and each course, proceeds with the preparation of the examination program (click here). The Examination Period will be from April 27 to June 7, 2020.
