The Cyprus Talks Green Conference returns for a 5th time, this time giving the opportunity between Cypriot, Dutch, Israeli and Egyptian policy makers and industry representatives to discuss the timely and vital issue of green transition in the context of transportation and energy storage from Renewable Energy Sources.
The further development of modern technologies such as the use of hydrogen as a cleaner substitute to fossil fuel as well as new methods of energy storage will be some of the main topics which the participants will get to the discuss. The event also offers a great opportunity to the attendees to establish both local as well as regional synergies in the near future.
The Cyprus Talks Green Conference will take place on Thursday, 29 of June, between 8:15 and 15:00 at the Royal Hall venue, in Nicosia. The event is organized by the Sustainable Energy Laboratory of the Cyprus University of Technology and the green energy consultancy firm Ideopsis Ltd and is supported by Future Fuels Ltd, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Cyprus, the Israeli Dutch Innovation Centre (IDIC) and EIT Urban Mobility (RIS Hub Malta), with FastForward the Communication Sponsor.
Moreover, the conference will touch upon the current green energy framework in the region, good practices and legal frameworks of other countries, new technologies and case studies from Cyprus and abroad. Welcoming speeches will be delivered by the Minister of Energy, Trade and Commerce, Mr. George Papanastasiou and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mrs. Elke Merks-Schaapveld.
Speakers include representatives of the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority, the National Technical University of Athens, the Cyprus Institute, the EIT Urban Mobility and companies active in the mobility and energy storage sectors from Cyprus, the Netherlands and Israel.
