An event on Artificial Intelligence, entitled "AI WAVE RIDE INTO THE FUTURE", has been successfully organized by the students of the Department of Communication and Marketing of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT).

The event was held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the premises of CUTC, in Limassol, under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.

During the event, the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence and the significant opportunities offered to humans by this revolutionary technology were presented.

The event also aimed to promote the New Technologies Group of CUT and to strengthen the cooperation between members of the student community and professionals active in this sector.

The keynote speaker of the event was Professor and Vice Rector for Research and Innovation of the University of Neapolis, Dr. Savvas Hadjichristofi, a prominent researcher in AI, who discussed the importance and role of AI in the society of the future.

In the framework of the event, a panel discussion was held in which, in addition to Dr. Savvas Chatzichristofis, Dr. Sotirios Hatzis, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Information Technology of CUT and Dr. Angelos Voulides, Specialist in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of CUT, participated. The discussion focused on the applications and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence.

Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue with the speakers.

The event concluded with a reception.
