Discover Mandarin Chinese Language and Chinese Culture at the Confucius Institute of the Cyprus University of Technology
The Confucius Institute at the Cyprus University of Technology announces the offer of Chinese Language and Culture Courses to the general public. These courses are designed for anyone interested in learning or enhancing their proficiency in the Chinese Language and for those who wish to immerse in Chinese culture through engaging Chinese Calligraphy lessons.
The following courses are offered for the period November 2024-March 2025:
- Chinese Language courses: HSK 1 (Level 1, Beginners), HSK 2 (Level 2, Elementary), YCT 1 (Level 1 for Children, Beginners)
- Chinese Culture Courses: Chinese Calligraphy

Terms and conditions:
1. The Chinese Language courses will start on Monday, 11/11/2024 and will end on Friday, 07/03/2025. The Chinese Calligraphy courses will start on Monday, 11/01/2025 and will end on Friday, 31/01/2025.
2. All courses will take place at the premises of the Cyprus University of Technology. Rooms will be announced at a later date.
3. The students who attend 80% of the lessons will receive a course Certificate of Attendance.
4. The minimum number of students per course is 4. The maximum number of students per course is 15. The Confucius Institute at CUT reserves the right to cancel any course that does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements or due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students will receive a full refund of their tuition fees.
5. The fees cover the entire period of study and include preparation in HSK examinations of the same academic year.
6. The cost of the teaching material (i.e. books) for each course or the HSK examination fee is not included in the tuition fees.
7. Tuition fees are paid on the 1st week of classes once the groups are formed.
8. Student fees will not be returned in case of discontinuation of studies or non-attendance of lessons.
9. Tuition fees should be paid through the online payment portal JCCsmart in the following link: https://www.jccsmart.com/businesses/14245062/pay/10795.
10. A 50% discount on tuition fees is available for: CUT Staff and Immediate family (spouses and children), CUT Current Students and Alumni. Please submit the necessary supporting documents to qualify for the discount when you complete the Registration Form.
The Confucius Institute was established as a joint initiative by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU).
