The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), the Cyprus Mathematical Society (CMS), the University of Cyprus (UCY), and the Hellenic Mathematical Society (HMS) are co-organizing an International Conference titled:
“The Life and Contribution of Pythagoras to Mathematics, Science, and Philosophy”,
under the auspices of the Cyprus Minister of Education, Sport and Youth, Dr. Athena Michaelidou.

The Conference will be held at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), in the “Tassos Papadopoulos” Building, 1 Themidos Street, 3036 Limassol, on Friday, 3 October 2025 (15:00 – 18:45) and Saturday, 4 October 2025 (8:30 – 18:00).

This Conference is dedicated to one of the most influential figures in the history of mathematics, scientific thinking, and philosophy. The multifaceted legacy of Pythagoras continues to inspire and resonate within modern intellectual inquiry.

The aim of the Conference is to bring together mathematicians, scientists from various disciplines, philosophers, and scholars, to explore and discuss the profound and lasting impact of Pythagoras on science and humanity at large.

The program includes keynote lectures by distinguished experts and interdisciplinary discussions.
