Dear colleges and students,

Wishing you all the joy for the New Year, I would like to thank you for the dedication shown and contribution made by each one of you ensuring our University is constantly achieving its aims.

The academic and professional achievements of our organization in the recent years have rendered the Cyprus University of Technology as an internationally competitive and recognized academic and research institution as well as one of the best universities in our country.

This is why all of us should feel proud for our University, which even under the most difficult conditions that did experienced and still does, has managed to change the facts and challenges and persuade our most sceptical fellow citizens for its  undoubtedly remarkable presence as a University, being fairly ranked as one of Europe's best young universities.

Our University’s objectives have been defined in detail in our 2016-2020 Strategic Plan with our main priorities being our building expansion to the three development poles as well as the increase of the state budget and own revenues. The biggest challenge, of course, is to maintain the high level standards of the University and raise them even higher. However, to achieve this, we need a continuous and major effort from all of us.

The year of 2019 is expected to be the landmark of our University’s further growth, both in terms of buildings and facilities increase and educational and research development, aiming to achieve new successes.

I hereby seek your cooperation towards continuing in building further the bright future of our University as a rising and upgraded academic, research and development organization with growing demands. The responsibility of all, being the leadership of the University, the academic and the administrative staff, in a spirit of mutual trust and respect, is to implement our Strategic Plan without delay, to accelerate our time-consuming processes and to improve our services’ efficiency within 2018. We will thus manage to better serve the needs of the University's staff, students and associates.
