All active students (bachelor's, master's, doctoral, Erasmus, etc.) of the Cyprus University of Technology are covered by a Personal Accident Insurance Plan.
Important terms of the Personal Accident Insurance Plan are the following:
Geographical limits / hours of accident
- The group contract offers coverage for personal accidents (accidental bodily injury) occurring within Cyprus on a 24-hour basis.
The insurance plan benefits are:
- Medical expenses due to Accident up to €5.000
- Permanent Total Disability due to Accident €30.000
- Death due to Accident €10.000
Exceptions from accident injuries not covered
- The contract mentions a number of exceptions, that does not offer any financial coverage (click here).
Procedure in case of accident / Steps:
- In case an accident occurs, the student (or their relative) informs the University's First Aid Office (Mrs. Sophie Chatziprodromou or Mr. Andrea Theofanous) within ten (10) days of the accident, at 25002374 or 25002415 or elias.vasiliou@cut.ac.cy . The University staff will provide advice for the further process.
- The Personal Accidents Claim Form is then filled in, it will sign in by the student or their representative, all evidence of expenses incurred for the treatment of injury is attached and send to the Insurance Company for examination and performance benefits according to the contract provisions.
