The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in collaboration with the University of Cyprus offers the innovative master’s (MA) program in Design for Social Innovation and is accepting applications from prospective students for the start of studies in January 2025. Applications are accepted until 31/10/2024 (12 p.m.).

  • Language of Instruction: English
  • Mode of Delivery: Distance Learning

This program combines design thinking with social entrepreneurship, empowering students to develop innovative solutions to contemporary global challenges. The MA in Design for Social Innovation brings together experts from the fields of design, architecture, social innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Why the MA Design for Social Innovation program is unique

  • It is οffered in collaboration with two universities (University of Cyprus and Cyprus University of Technology) and three different departments (Department of Architecture, Department of Business and Public Administration, and Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts)
  • It is designed to operate online (combining synchronous and asynchronous teaching)
  • It is available for full-time or part-time study
  • It emphasizes practice-based teaching

Who can apply

The MA in Design for Social Innovation is designed for students with a first degree who have a strong interest in developing high-level skills based on social sciences and the theory and practice of design, in order to build, improve, and develop the skills and abilities required for action in social innovation. The involved departments support interdisciplinarity in design and innovation by creating connections between academia and practice, and bringing to the forefront documented theoretical and methodological knowledge. The program is designed for both recent graduates and professionals.
