Student employment (within the University)

All active students of the University, both undergraduates and postgraduates, may be employed by the University on an Hourly Employment Schedule, for the performance of tasks assigned by the University entities.

The usual working hours are from Monday to Friday from 08: 00-14: 30 (on Wednesdays: 08: 00-18:00). In the case of the Library, the Academic Affairs and Student Welfare Service and / or other entities of the University, their working hours are applicable. In the event of heavy workloads in any entity, a specific timetable (day and time) is established in consultation with the person in charge of the affected entity.

Students can work up to 20 hours per week or up to 100 hours per month. These limits may increase (up to twice) in the summer months, however, in any case, a student's employment may not exceed 600 hours in one calendar year.

The remuneration for Hourly Employment of students is set at € 4.95 per hour (gross) and is being revised by the Rector’s Council

Procedures for Students’ Hourly Employment are regulated by a Circular.

In addition, the Academic Affairs and Student Welfare Service collects information on the needs of enterprises and organizations in human resources and most preferably in students. Relevant announcements are made regularly at the beginning of each semester, and extraordinarily when vacancies arise only for students.
