Mrs Maria Theodorou is a  Lecturer  at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geoinformatics.   She  holds  an  undergraduate degree (BSc)  in Accounting and Computer Science from BJU South Carolina USA and a postgraduate degree ( MBA )  from MSM  Netherlands  with a specialization in Information Systems .  She also  has extensive  post degree  international  education in areas of Information Technology which was  funded through scholarships and other  sources .  She  is  a member of the  Cyprus Scientific Chamber(ETEK), the  IEEE ,  ACM , Cyprus Computer Society.  She is working for  forty years in  the areas of Systems analysis and development,  IT consultancy and IT education.  Before transferring to  the Civil Engineering Department of the Cyprus University of  Technology she held the post of a Lecturer at the Information Technology Department of the Higher Technical Institute  teaching  Databases ,  Data Structures- Programming,  Accounting for IT students and Graphics.  Her main research interests lie in the areas of Databases, Geodatabases , Information Systems  and Computer Aided Education.
