Haris Haridemou is
First Instructor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering.
He has a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Technical Institute (1985-1988). During the summer of 1986 and 1987 he worked for Amiantos Mines Ltd Company as part of his practical training. Also during his third year of studies he attended three different modules: A & P Paraskevaides Ltd (Design Module), Cyprus Hotels Ltd (Maintenance Module) and A. Mavrokefalos Ltd (Construction Module).
After finishing his military service he worked at DEKSA Ltd Company (September 1990 – June 1996) as a technician
[...]for steam, central heating and water treatment equipment.
Subsequently he worked at New Sevegep Ltd Company (August 1996 – March 1998) as a technician and operator of Tetra Pak and production line machines.
He was then hired in the National Guard (March 1998 – June 2002), as Sergeant of Mechanical Engineering where he was trained in a special anti-aircraft system.
Afterwards he was appointed at Higher Technical Institute (June 2002 – December 2010) as Laboratory Assistant in the Mechanical and Marine Engineering Department where he was involved in the following courses: Basic Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Strength of Materials, Resistance of Materials, Materials Technology, Production Engineering, Heat Transfer, Metrology, Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) and others.
