• Asymptotic homogenization modeling of composites, smart composites and nanocomposites • Comprehensive micromechanical modeling, analysis and design of periodic composite and smart composite materials such as rib-reinforced smart composite plates, three-layered composites with honeycomb filler, network-reinforced smart composites with orthotropic fibers, three-dimensional spatial composite networks, etc. • Development of micromechanical models for the determination of the effective thermomechanical properties of carbon nanotubes. • Dynamic modeling of 2D and general 3D magnetoelectric composites and determination of associated product properties such as magnetoelectric, pyroelectric and pyromagnetic properties.
