Dr Elena Kalotychou is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Management Science at the Cyprus University of Technology. Prior to joining CUT in 2017, she has been an Assistant Professor and Director of MSc Investment Management at Cass Business School, City, University of London (2008 - 2017). She obtained her PhD (2004) from the Faculty of Finance at Cass Business School with a scholarship, and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow (2004 - 2005) there, before she was appointed as a Lecturer in Finance (2006 - 2008). Dr Kalotychou graduated from Cambridge University with a BSc [...]and MA degree in Mathematical Tripos funded by a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Bursary. She got an MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics. Dr Kalotychou’s research interests are on empirical asset pricing, corporate governance and risk management. She has published more than 25 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, European Financial Management, Journal of Financial Services Research, International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting. Dr Kalotychou has served on the Scientific and Organizing Committees of numerous international conferences and has reviewed manuscripts and proposals for a wide spectrum of peer-reviewed scientific journals.
