Kyriaki Themistokleous is a Special Scientist at the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology, specializing in the teaching of French as a foreign language. She holds a degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Cyprus, a master’s degree in the Didactics of French as a Foreign Language from the University of Cyprus, and a master’s degree in E-Learning from the University of Piraeus. She has taught in both private and public education and has been involved in the development of educational programs and digital learning tools. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Cyprus, with a research focus on the use of gamification and MOOCs in the hybrid teaching of French as a foreign language, emphasizing self-regulated learning and the enhancement of motivation in the learning process. Furthermore, her research interests include the teaching of French through new technologies, the development of teaching materials, and the promotion of autonomous and collaborative learning in distance learning environments.
