The purpose of this course is to introduce general themes, theories and philosophies of management and to prepare students through their introduction to management skills required in the modern workplace. More specifically, the course examines the functions of Management such as planning, organization, leadership, control and decision-taking, and identifies the key competencies, which are required to be an effective manager. In addition, the course identifies the internal and external factors and forces in the organization that managers encounter in their daily work, and teaches students how to display critical thinking when presented with administrative problems.
