Την Πέμπτη, 1 Δεκεμβρίου 2016, στο Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου (ΤΕΠΑΚ), πραγματοποιήθηκε με επιτυχία η εκδήλωση με τίτλο Introduction to the Oracle Cloud Platform -Transformational opportunities, Digital transformation leveraging Oracle Big Data and Cloud Integration Strategies using Oracle PaaS. Η παρουσίαση από την εταιρία Oracle έγινε μετά από πρόσκληση του Δρ. Μ. Σιριβιανου, του Τμήματος Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Η/Υ και Πληροφορικής του Tεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου.

Σκοπός της παρουσίασης ήταν να ενημερώσει και να ενθαρρύνει τους φοιτητές να εμπλακούν με τις απεριόριστες ευκαιρίες απασχόλησης και ανάπτυξης σταδιοδρομίας της εταιρείας ORACLE τόσο στην Κύπρο όσο και σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο.

Demetris Skourides

Demetris Skourides is the Cloud Transformation & Platform Solutions leader for Oracle Alliances & Channels EMEA. Demetris has been with Oracle for more than 10 years, throughout various roles that include channel and sales management. In his role, he is actively evangelising the adoption of all Cloud, core-technology, and Infrastructure products, and Digital transformation amongst Oracle's partner ecosystem throughout EMEA. Demetris frequently acts as a thought leader in the domains of Cloud and digital transformation, advising partners in transforming their both their solutions and business models.

He holds a BSc in Computer Science with emphasis in Software Engineering from Arizona State University, USA and an MBA from Henley management college, UK.

In his current role as Regional Alliances & Channels Director, Demetris is responsible for driving a range of programs and activities that are focused on developing indirect revenue business which include:

• Evangelization and adoption of Oracle cross-stack products by partners
• Empowering Niche ISVs across ECEMEA via Innovative business transformation initiatives to adopt and leverage Oracle's Big Data platform
• Empowering TOP System Integrators to grow their Revenue Services streams by leveraging Oracle Engineered Systems as a platform for growth
• Spearheading business, technology and technical evangelization for ISV partners transforming their business model to leverage Cloud
• Developing Proof of concepts around Digital transformation initiatives that leverage Social, Mobile, Cloud and Internet of Things to grow the adoption of Oracle Middleware.
• Increasing the awareness of Oracle's product portfolio including Engineered Systems, Applications, Database, Middleware, Big Data and Cloud leveraging Social media and ISV Migration centres
• Leading all product adoption initiatives across IMC Centres which are part of Oracle's ECEMEA Partner hubs (Russia, Poland, Turkey, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa)

Antonis Antoniou

Antonis Antoniou is a Technical Director heading the Center of Excellence for Oracle Platinum Partner eProseed. He is an Oracle ACE Director for Middleware and SOA and a certified professional on Oracle Application Grid, Oracle WebCenter Portal, Oracle WebCenter Content, ADF, Oracle BPM and Oracle SOA. Antonis has long-time experience as developer, coach, trainer and architect and has leaded multiple complex projects on Oracle Fusion Middleware across Europe and Middle-East and across various industries (telecom, financial services, public sector). Antonis is an avid technology evangelist and a regular speaker at various Oracle conferences and events.
