The Third Way (T3W) is an Erasmus+ funded project that focuses on the development of an open online curriculum (MOOC) that supports and promotes social enterprises as a destination of choice for European vocational and higher education graduates.
The team comprises of academics and practitioners in social enterprises, and consists of partners from Germany (Dresden University of Technology), the Czech Republic (Mendel University), the Netherlands (Stichting Avans), Belgium (UC Leuven-Limburg), the United Kingdom (Organisational Learning Centre), Cyprus (Art+Design: elearning lab, Cyprus University of Technology), Portugal (IES Social Business School), Spain (AC Amics de la Biblioteca de la Fonteta), Belgium (Businet VZW), and Belarus (Shliakhietnyja izdelija).
The T3W transnational meeting on 19-22 March 2020, focussed on identifying the discreet units (modules) of the online curriculum to be developed based on data from an extensive cross-national needs analysis. In addition, the team developed the teaching and learning objectives, as well as the technical specifications of online delivery.
The Art+Design: elearning lab (Cyprus University of Technology) is represented in this project by Dr. Andrew Laghos and Dr. Nicos Souleles.
The T3W project aims to ensure that social enterprises become an integrated component of higher education business curricula, and support the social enterprise sector to recruit from a pool of suitably qualified graduates.
