All the teaching in the Spring Semester 2020-2021 will start remotely, online. The laboratory courses, the internships and the clinical practice, which will be carried out with physical presence in small groups, following the provisions of the health protocols, are excluded.

Explanations for Undergraduate Students

Each Undergraduate Student can register electronically on the predetermined date. People who have any problems in their studies or want advice / information on study topics can contact the competent Officer of the Study Service and / or their academic advisor to receive the necessary guidance.

Important notes:

  1. Course Registration Load: The student, in consultation and with the approval of the academic advisor, may exceed the normal load of each semester by one course until the 6th semester and by two courses after the 6th semester. For undergraduate students (after the 7th semester) the dissertation is not counted in the two additional courses.

[Transitional provision: For those who were admitted before the academic year 2018-19, an increased load of up to 42 am will be allowed with the approval of the President of the Department].

  1. Grade Improvement: A student who wishes to improve his/her grade in a course in which he/she scored a grade equal to or greater than 5, can repeat it after the teacher's approval by sending a relevant message to studies@cut.ac.cy. The request will be forwarded to the relevant Officer of SSA who will inform the student about the outcome of his request.
  2. Course registration with a course conflict: Students can enroll in a course in which they have failed independently if there is a time conflict with another course and without having to attend the lectures of that course. It is understood that they must attend all the tests provided by the chart of each course (eg intermediate and final exam, work, etc.). It is further understood that each Department may, in its sole discretion, not allow this provision for one or more courses.

It should be noted that students' requests with a course conflict should be sent to studies@cut.ac.cy on the subject: COURSE CONFLICT and the following information:

•  No. Student / No. Political Identity

•  Name and surname

•  Department

•  Course code (which could not be registered)

The full applications will be reviewed by the Study Officers and if they find that these are repetitions they will proceed directly with their registration.

Students who do not enroll in courses during the specified times, they can register later during the drop/add period (25-29th of January 2021). Please note there is no other chance after that to register for courses.

Explanations for Postgraduate Students (Masters and Doctoral Degrees)

The Postgraduate students (Master's level) who are in the process of preparing their Master's Thesis and do not completing it, must enroll in their “Thesis course” every semester. (Maximum Duration of Study is 8 Semesters).

The PhD students must enroll in the "Research or Writing" stage every semester and submit the "Annual Progress Report" at the end of the Spring Semester of each year. In cases where doctoral students have completed ALL the "Stages" they are obliged to enroll in the standard course PG_900 (Stage of Preparation of Original Dissertation) which keeps their student status active.

Economic Holds

Please note that if a student has any financial issues pending (eg registration fee €40, tuition fees, Housing, Library, etc.) the system will not allow him/her to enroll in courses.

Students who may have a financial backlog should arrange it before the start of the registration period (ie before 11/1/2021).  For questions about any outstanding debts, please contact the University Service and Information Center (Marisa Alonefti), tel. 25 002710/11 or email: kep@cut.ac.cy.

Technical support

If for any reason you encounter technical or other problems, please send an email to the Studies Officer for your Faculty by writing clearly:

 1. Full name and no. political or student identity

 2. Department of your Studies

 3. Problem you are facing

 4. Screenshot with the problem where it exists.

Requests that do not mention the above information will not be reviewed.
