Submission of applications for undergraduate programs by candidates with international exam qualifications (2024-25).

Applications for admission to undergraduate programs based on international examinations are now being accepted. The application along with all required certificates must be submitted by Friday, May 31st, 2024 (11:59 p.m.). The process of submitting the electronic application begins HERE.

Applications will be evaluated based on the Rules of Studies and Enrollment for the admission of candidates through international examinations (click here).

A. ELIGIBILITY - GENERAL APPLICATION CRITERIA

The right to apply for admission based on International Examinations criteria is granted to:

  • Cypriots belonging to the religious groups specified by the Constitution of the Republic (Armenians, Maronites, Latins)
  • Repatriated Cypriots
  • Cypriots with dual citizenship
  • Children of personnel of the Republic's Foreign Service
  • Cypriot permanent residents abroad who are graduates of foreign schools
  • Foreign nationals who are graduates of foreign schools (excluding Greece)

Candidates must:

Be graduates or alumni of a Secondary Education School recognized by the competent authorities of the country of residence, Have a very good knowledge of the Greek language, in which all undergraduate programs at the University are offered Meet the criteria for subjects and grades for the programs they are interested in, as specified in the relevant Appendices (click here). The available positions are limited and oversubscribed. Evaluation is based on GCE/BACCALAUREATE examinations or other equivalent examinations.

B. ADDITIONAL CRITERIA BY CATEGORY

CYPRIOTS

Members of religious groups:

a. Submit a certificate of completion/graduation from Secondary Education Schools.

b. Submit a certificate indicating membership in one of the religious groups.

c. Submit a copy of their identity card (clearly showing Cypriot nationality) or passport.

Cypriots with dual citizenship:

a. Submit a certificate of completion/graduation from Secondary Education Schools.

b. Submit a copy of their identity card or passport or other certificate proving Cypriot dual citizenship.

Repatriated Cypriots:

a. Submit a certificate demonstrating recent repatriation after a long stay abroad.

b. Submit a certificate showing graduation from a primary school abroad.

c. Submit a copy of their identity card or passport.

Cypriot permanent residents abroad:

a. Submit a certificate of completion/graduation from Secondary Education Schools abroad recognized by the competent authorities of the country of residence.

b. Submit a copy of their identity card or passport.

Children of personnel of the Republic's Foreign Service:

a. Submit a certificate of completion/graduation from Secondary Education Schools abroad recognized by the competent authorities of the country of residence.

b. Submit an employment certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

c. Submit a copy of their identity card or passport.

FOREIGN NATIONALS

In the case of foreign candidates (excluding Greece), they must:

a. Submit a certificate of completion/graduation from Secondary Education Schools abroad recognized by the competent authorities of the country of residence.

b. Submit a certificate proving proficiency in the Greek language.

c. Submit a copy of their identity card or passport, or present a certificate of foreign nationality.

Foreign candidates may additionally undergo written and/or oral examinations.

Note: Candidates belonging to the above categories may also apply based on examinations for Higher Education Institutions, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Youth. It is understood that in this case, candidates are not admitted as oversubscribed. Also, candidates can participate, for a specific year, in only one of the two procedures.

C. TUITION FEES

Undergraduate tuition fees for students who are citizens of EU member states are paid by the Cypriot government.

Tuition fees for students who are not citizens of the Republic or EU member states and are admitted through International Examinations amount to €6,834 per academic year and are paid by the students.
