Based on the founding law of the University and the resulting Regulations and Rules, students are represented in all governing bodies: the Council, the Senate, the Schools and Departments Boards.
In addition, students who are members of Department Councils may vote for the election of the academic officials: Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans and Deputy Deans of Schools, Presidents and Vice Presidents of Departments.
Students are also represented in Senate and Council Committees as well as in the Disciplinary Student Committee.
Council: One member, the current president of the Student Union.
Senate: One member for each School (total 6), appointed by the Student Union Council.
Faculty Council: Number of members equal to the number of Faculty Departments elected by the students of the Faculty through a process organized by the Student Union.
Department Council: Number of members corresponding to the nearest integer number of one third of all teaching staff participating in the Department Council elected by the students of the Department through a process organized by the Student Union.
Exception
The students representatives in the various collective bodies do not take part in the discussion and decision-making process on issues related to the election or development of academic research staff, the appointment or promotion of members of the administrative staff and issues related to the content of the test specimens and marking, awarding degrees, and the establishment of new Departments, compilation or abolition of Departments, Faculties or Research Units.
