Occasional attendance students

Occasional attendance students are those who attend individual modules or thematic units or both, at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, with equivalence - corresponding students and exchange students being excepted. Occasional attendance students have, in proportion, the obligations and rights of other student.

Number of positions

The number of occasional attendance students, estimated together with Equivalence - Corresponding Students and exchange students, cannot exceed the 10% of regular students enrolled in a course. This limit excludes courses exclusively offered to students of occasional attendance and / or equivalence - corresponding students and / or exchange students. Upon recommendation of the Department and approval of the Senate, the 10% limit may also be exceeded in exceptional cases.

Attendance

  • The attendance at the University is compulsory.
  • Each Department appoints an Advisor in charge to handle affairs of occasional attendance students.
  • Performance of occasional attendance students can be described as “Successful” or “Failed”. In case a student wishes to repeat a module due to failure, he/she shall pay anew the tuition fees.
  • At the end of attendance, the occasional attendance student is awarded a certificate of attendance and a Transcript.  

Tuition fees

Occasional attendance students pay a tuition fee of € 80 per ECTS (including laboratory modules). It is noted that 80% of the tuition fees will be used by the Departments for academic affairs, while 20% will remain centrally for administrative support.
