Marianna Ioannou is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Multimedia & Graphic Arts. She holds a BA in Pedagogical Sciences from the Department of Education of the University of Cyprus and a MA in Language Learning from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also holds a MA in Interactive Multimedia from the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts of Cyprus University of Technology.

She works as a teacher in a primary school from 2000.

Her research interests include: Emerging interactive learning environments for primary students, embodied learning, STEM education, problem-solving, knowledge construction.
