Aekaterini Mavri is a senior researcher at the Cyprus Interaction Lab, and a full-time teaching staff member at the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at CUT. Aekaterini holds a BA in Visual Communication Design, an MA in Design for Interactive Media from Middlesex University (UK) and a PhD in Educational Technology from the Cyprus University of Technology. She has worked as an interactive designer and project manager in the industry for several years and currently teaches Digital Design, User Experience Design, Web Design & Development, and Project Management modules at CUT.
Her research interests focus on the
[...]design, implementation, and evaluation of social learning models, such as Communities of Practice, that bring together academic and industrial stakeholders, through a technology-supported and curriculum-integrated practice, with an aim to enhance learning and promote the development of critical 21st-century skills.
Aekaterini participates in the AssessMake21, Erasmus+ project and is the initiator of the CUT-IXN Industry Exchange Network (IXN) initiative in collaboration with University College London (UCL). She also leads usability evaluation projects in collaboration with CYENS.
