Kostas Gemenis is an Assistant Professor of Politics and the Internet in the Department of Communication and Internet Studies. From 2018 to 2021 he was a Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies and, previously, an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente. From 2014 to 2021 he taught as an instructor at the ECPR Summer and Winter Schools of Methods and Techniques. His research interests include the study of elections and political parties, as well as the study of the design and impact of voting advice applications, and the proliferation of conspiracy theories in [...]social media. In the context of his research, his proposal for a module to study conspiracy theories related to the COVID-19 pandemic was included in the 10th Round of the European Social Survey (ESS).
