Within the Learning Development Network’s activities, the Center of Student Development presents the following online seminar
Cyber College: students adjusting to an entirely online learning routine, and in the absence of college life
• «I graduated from High School without going through the significantly important milestones of graduation and I started going to College, while I am still feeling like a high school student»
• «I do not feel like a college student – I just attend online courses, complete assignments and join on exams»
• «I feel far from what I thought I would be feeling as an adult»
• «I am cut off from friends and I have not formed new friendships as I am not experiencing the sense of college life»
• «I am constantly in a studying mode and I feel lonely»
The idea of being a college student this year, during the pandemic, has changed dramatically and many young adults feel the absence of the substantial transition to being a college student and into adulthood. In this seminar, we discuss how we feel as college students during this period and in what ways we could become more resilient so that we are empowered through the difficulties we face.
