Οι μηνιαίες ακαθάριστες απόλαβες του υποψηφίου θα ανέρχονται, σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά δεδομένα και την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία, αρχικά στo ποσό των €3.020,64 (μέχρι 29/2/2020) και από 1/3/2020 στο ποσό των €2.993,03. Η αμοιβή των Ειδικών Επιστημόνων κυμαίνεται από €34 – €68 την ώρα αναλόγως προσόντων και της φύσης των καθηκόντων. Η πληρωμή γίνεται ως εξής: αμοιβή x ώρες διδασκαλίας/την εβδομάδα x 14 βδομάδες για το Φθινοπωρινό Εξάμηνο. Σημειώνεται ότι, οι Ειδικοί Επιστήμονες υποχρεούνται να αναπληρώσουν τα μαθήματα που δεν θα πραγματοποιηθούν λόγω των αργιών 1 Οκτωβρίου 2019 και 28 Οκτωβρίου 2019, εάν και εφόσον οι ημερομηνίες αυτές εμπίπτουν στο πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας του συγκεκριμένου μαθήματος.

Οι υποψήφιοι δεν είναι απαραίτητο να είναι πολίτες της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) part-time Research Fellow position (Postdoctoral Researcher) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics in the field of “Sustainable Port Management and Short Sea Shipping”, funded under the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation Programme “STEAM: Sea Traffic Management in the Eastern Mediterranean”.

The primary goal of this research programme is to develop the Port of Limassol to become a world-class transshipment and information hub adopting modern digital technologies brought to the maritime sector, as well as a driver for short sea shipping in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the coordination of the programme’s activities with respect to the Limassol Port and in particular the work packages concerning the implementation and evaluation of the Port CDM (Collaborative Decision Making), the Limassol Shore Center and Short Sea Shipping. More specifically, the postdoc is expected to work seamlessly with the other partners participating in the programme towards the preparation of deliverables according to the deadlines as set by the programme and contribute towards the operation and evaluation of the STEAM Platform at the Port of Limassol in close collaboration with the Cyprus Ports Authority and the other private stakeholders at the port. The selected applicant should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as excellent knowledge of programming, port management and economics and maritime informatics. Most importantly, the selected applicant is expected to be able to conduct high-caliber research.

• PhD degree in Shipping Economics, Shipping Finance, Shipping Management, Port Economics, Port Management, Maritime Logistics, Transportation Economics, Logistics Engineering, or related fields

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) part-time Research Fellow position (Postgraduate Associate – Assistant Researcher A) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics in the field of “Information and Communication Systems for Smart Ports”, funded under the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation Programme “STEAM: Sea Traffic Management in the Eastern Mediterranean”.

The primary goal of this research programme is to develop the Port of Limassol to become a world-class transshipment and information hub adopting modern digital technologies brought to the maritime sector, as well as a driver for short sea shipping in the Eastern Mediterranean. Ports have played a crucial role in connecting the Europe markets with island areas, such as Cyprus, as 74% of goods imported or exported from Europe travel through sea transport. The application of new information and communication systems and technologies can significantly improve the efficiency of the various port operations and services via enabling real-time situation awareness to all participants involved in maritime activities in the ports of Cyprus.

The research fellow, who is also expected to enroll as a PhD student, will investigate the implementation of such systems at the Port of Limassol for collecting real-time information related to ship movements, the environment, and the tracking of cargo by exploiting innovative technological solutions such as buoys, UAVs, and RFIDs. The collected information, will be further processed using advanced data analytics for ensuring high quality data, calculating KPIs, and creating new decision-support tools and services for maritime stakeholders. The successful applicant is expected to perform real-time experiments in order to verify the performance of the developed algorithms and solutions using the implemented systems at the Port of Limassol.

Full Time European Research Area (ERA) Chair Holder Position

in the field of Digital Heritage

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Full-time Researcher Position: Special Scientist for Research / Senior Researcher A / ERA Chair holder on Digital Cultural Heritage) at the newly established UNESCO and European Research Area Chairs on Digital Cultural Heritage within the Digital Heritage Research Laboratory (DHRLab) of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in the research field of Digital Heritage and Cultural Informatics.

The selected scientist will work for fifty-four (54) months within the EU H2020 ERA Chair ‘Mnemosyne Project’, a unique EU-funded programme bringing together for the first time  a worldwide network, aiming at implementing a multidisciplinary and intersectoral educational, research and training programme between academic research, creative industries and key Cultural Heritage stakeholders.

Description

Cultural Heritage is a strategic resource for Europe with high cultural, social, environmental and economic value. The era of Digital Cultural Heritage (DCH) is now well underway and the European research resource for DCH has grown significantly in recent years worldwide. But the visible contribution of the EU Widening countries to this effort remains relatively weak. The Digital Heritage Research Laboratory (DHRLab) at Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) www.digitalheritagelab.eu has been an exception in this respect, becoming a beacon in the Eastern Mediterranean and for Europe in general, in particular through its leadership of key initiatives in DCH research training and in EU policy co-ordination and support. While the Cypriot economy gradually recovers, in order to maintain and expand its leading role in DCH research, DHRLab needs further investment. This call for an ERA Chair is an ideal opportunity to ensure this by means of a well-designed and iterative process of strengthening its research capacity and restructuring of its role. Therefore, the EU ERA Chair Mnemosyne project will proceed from the appointment of an outstanding researcher and research manager as ERA Chair holder in 2019, who will attract, direct and maintain high quality human resources and negotiate and implement the necessary structural changes to achieve excellence on a sustainable basis. The project will be carried out over a period of 5 years. Following recruitment of the ERA Chair Research Team, a three-phase research programme centered on holistic documentation (knowledge management) of the DCH life cycle in support of existing and potential user needs, will be carried out and extensively evaluated, with strong attention paid to exploitation. Communication activities, will be strategically planned and refined from the outset of the work and will last throughout the project duration.

Position:

The ERA Chair will be recruited by the host organization of the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol, Cyprus for the duration of fifty-four (54) months under a full employment contract with the possibility of extension. The Chair holder will work closely together with the Director of DHRLab and the team of the UNESCO Chair on DCH and be responsible for the planned research topics and areas. It is noted that for this purpose funding is included in the MNEMOSYNE project for a group of post-doctoral scholars and PhD researchers to assist the Chair, the team at DHRLab and the UNESCO Chair.

An outline of the research topics under consideration (subject to agreement with the ERA Chair) includes:

1. Holistic structures and standardization
   definition and creation of holistic documentation ‘pipelines’ for specific user communities;

• creation of standards for 3D documentation and knowledge management.

2. DCH data acquisition

• advanced digitisation and approaches such as mass, crowdsourced and on-demand digitisation;
• methods for crowdsourcing content and allowing user-generated content for DCH in the cloud on cloud-computing for DCH, e.g. by leveraging popular photography;
• the use of UAVs and related technologies in capturing documentation;
• automated metadata extraction and crowd;
• realising the potential of big data management and opportunities created by the vast volume, variety and velocity of mainly unstructured new data, generated every day most for finding and using previously inaccessible European digital content;

3. DCH data processing

• user-oriented metadata and ontology standards for the description and exchange of DCH data;
• metadata designs especially of language-based data close to human conceptual systems and gaining insights from data in natural language;
• innovative tools and methods to extract meaning from digital artefacts, including video recordings, audio recordings, digital images, text, multispectral and thermal
• information and 3D representations of objects or scenes;
• generation and presentation of localised DCH content and its documentation to enhance audience value (in services such as Europeana) for example through efficient and innovative acquisition and deployment of geospatial data.

4. Data modelling

• data modelling and semantics, including those for Intangible Heritage and the modelling of motion for DCH;
• classification and typology of objects, sites and monuments and its impact on media display and environments where these can be exhibited;
• using immersive VR and AR technology (Mixed Reality – MR) to blend and/or emphasise dimensions and detail environmental experiences;
• interactive environments in DCH e.g. re-creating 3D space through spatial references, imaging and modelling.

5. Knowledge management (interpretation)

• establishing meaningful narratives (storytelling) for DCH objects which are meaningful to identified user groups for interpretation purposes;
• using crowdsourcing and the Internet to provide documentation resources for experiencing, contributing and gaining understanding in cultural heritage scenarios;
• systems for managing and re-using complex documentation and deriving knowledge e.g. for monuments and sites;
• applications of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in DCH;
• applying Big Data Analytics to DCH;
• the role and applications of Linked Open Data in enriching DCH information, linking exhibited content to other relevant content to provide greater understanding;
• curation of digital assets;
• linking exhibited content to other relevant content to provide greater understanding of the viewed item.

6. Preservation

• documentation for the preservation of European heritage;
• the virtual or actual reconstruction of destroyed or degraded sites and artefacts including the digital restoration of important monuments destroyed during conflict protecting against or remedying looting and destruction;
• virtual ‘reunification’ of CH assets which have been scattered to different parts of Europe and the world.

7. Use and re-use

• cost reduction and simplification of digital technologies;
• personalisation and interactivity of viewing experiences in DCH, including the use of social media;
• new types of User Experiences (UX) with DCH that arise from the current ‘hardware and software revolution’ in the realms of VR/AR; interface selection (e.g. Augmented Reality, holograms) to allow seamless blending of on-site and on-line dimensions;
• visualisation techniques and their combination in different contexts, drawing on the state of the art in technology and standards e.g. for Interactive Video (IV); Immersive VR (IVR); Augmented Reality (AR); 3D Real-time Editors (game-engines), Ultra High and Giga-Pixel Panoramas; infinite zooming images; VR Wearables and Gesture Recognition Interfaces;
• inter-disciplinary collaborative research to establish paradigms in socio-economic areas of DCH impact e.g. tourism, education, employment, economic growth;
• crowdsourcing, co-creation and Citizen Science;
• using innovative social platforms to exchange user experiences and support multidisciplinary approaches.

The Applicant should:

• Have completed at least a four or five-year education cycle (e.g. Diploma in Engineering, Master’s Degree etc.) from a recognized university in Geomatics, Computer- / Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Surveying Engineering and/or BA or MA in Humanities with a focus on e-CH) with at least eleven years of continuous full-time research experience in the above fields,  and very good language, communication and implementation skills;
• For this unique position, an earned Doctorate degree from a recognized University is required;
• The qualifications required for this position are the same as those required for the post of a full Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology and, in addition, the following qualifications are required:
  • A total of at least eleven years of university / research work or experience of equal value after the award of the doctoral title, out of which, at least four shall be years of university work or holding a post in the rank of Professor in a recognized University or holding a position as a Senior Researcher in a recognized research organization;
  • International recognition of scientific work of acknowledged merit, promising an important contribution to science: publication of works, such as articles in international pre-reviewed scientific journals of well-known reputation or monographs or books of internationally recognized publishing companies, substantiating notable autonomous research work.
  • Ability to instruct and promote research, including the supervision of postgraduate students, significant contributions in research projects and track record in ensuring  additional financing of research activities.
  • Indications of international recognition of the candidate´s contribution to the research fields described or similar fields, such as research reports, invitations for scientific lectures/keynotes, assignment of the evaluation of articles, research reports/projects or doctoral theses, participation in committees for the publication of scientific journals or participation in the organisation of seminars, workshops and conferences.
  • Significant contribution to the teaching and/or administrative/management work of a University or research center;
  • Supervision/coordination of successfully completed of research projects or doctoral theses.
  •  Excellent knowledge of the English language at a proficiency level (spoken and written).

Benefits

The yearly gross salary for this position will be 78.000,00 Euro. From this amount employer and employee contributions to the Cyprus government funds will be deducted. A 13th monthly salary  incorporated into the monthly gross salary. In addition, health insurance will funded by the program.

About the hosting institution:

Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), was established by law in 2004, and enrolled its first students in 2007. With its orientation towards applied research, the University aspires to establish for itself a role in support of the state and society in their efforts to confront problems, which cover all areas of science and technology. • technical areas, including 2D and 3D virtual environments (tangible and intangible), archives and collections management systems, web and museum based interactive applications and language technologies;

CONCORDIA (https://www.concordia-h2020.eu/) στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο «Προστασία ιδιωτικότητας, διαχείριση ταυτότητας και ελέγχου πρόσβασης, και κυβερνοασφάλεια - παραπληροφόρηση» ή και INCOGNITO (http://incognito.socialcomputing.eu) στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο «Επαλήθευση ταυτότητας με τη χρήση  διαπιστευτηρίων για ανώνυμη πρόσβαση σε ηλεκτρονικές υπηρεσίες», αντίστοιχα.

Ο βασικός σκοπός της συμμετοχής του ΤΕΠΑΚ στο CONCORDIA είναι:

1. Η προστασία των προσωπικών δεδομένων του χρήστη στον ιστοχώρο και εντοπισμό διαρροής δεδομένων σε μη εξουσιοδοτημένες υπηρεσίες για χρήση στοχευόμενων διαφημίσεων. Αυτό το κομμάτι αποσκοπεί στη δημιουργία καινοτόμων μεθόδων οι οποίοι να μπορούν να εντοπίσουν και να θέσουν τέλος σε τέτοιου είδους κακοήθη χρήση προσωπικών δεδομένων.
2. Η διαχείριση και επαλήθευση της ταυτότητας του χρήστη για την αποτροπή δημιουργίας ψευδών λογαριασμών σε κοινωνικά δίκτυα. Για το σκοπό αυτό, προβλέπεται η χρήση blockchain για τη δημιουργία και διαχείριση ψηφιακής ταυτότητας. Αυτή η πλατφόρμα θα βοηθήσει το χρήστη να επαληθεύσει τη ταυτότητα του χρησιμοποιώντας αυτόματες μεθόδους (OCR, face recognition, face detection, κτλ.), καθώς και να ενοποιήσει την πραγματική του ταυτότητα με την ψηφιακή.
3. Ο εντοπισμός ψευδών νέων, και κυβερνοασφάλεια σε κοινωνικά δίκτυα. Αυτό το κομμάτι αποσκοπεί στον εντοπισμό των λογαριασμών που διαδίδουν ψευδείς πληροφορίες σε κοινωνικά δίκτυα, καθώς και την ανάλυση και τον εντοπισμό αυτών των πληροφοριών με τη χρήση καινοτόμων τεχνικών εντοπισμού.

Ο στόχος της θέσης ερευνητή για το CONCORDIA είναι η έρευνα γύρω από τα προβλήματα της διαρροής προσωπικών δεδομένων, τη διαχείριση και ενοποίηση ταυτότητας, και του εντοπισμού ψευδή πληροφοριών στον ιστοχώρο. Επίσης, ο ερευνητής αναμένεται να αναπτύξει ευφυείς αλγόριθμους για τον εντοπισμό και επίλυση των πιο πάνω προβλημάτων.

Στο έργο CONCORDIA συμμετέχουν οι τηλεπικοινωνιακοί κολοσσοί Telefonica, και Telecom Italia, καθώς και άλλες παγκοσμίως γνωστές εταιρείες και οργανισμοί όπως Siemens, Airbus, BMW, και Caixa Bank. Επίσης συμμετέχουν διακεκριμένα πανεπιστήμια της Γερμανίας, Λουξεμβούργου, Ολλανδίας, Γαλλίας, Σλοβενίας, Ελβετίας, Ιταλίας, Νορβηγίας, Τσεχίας, Ισραήλ, Αγγλίας και Ελλάδας, και άλλες μεγάλες ή μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις τεχνολογίας και έρευνας από διάφορες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες.

Ο βασικός σκοπός του INCOGNITO είναι να αναπτύξει ένα φιλικό προς το χρήστη σύστημα το οποίο προσφέρει ασφαλή ψηφιακή ταυτότητα, προστασία της ιδιωτικής ζωής, και ανωνυμία με τη χρήση ανώνυμων προστατευτικών διαπιστευτηρίων. Το πρόγραμμα αποσκοπεί στο σχεδιασμό και την υλοποίηση μιας υποδομής η οποία υποστηρίζει την ανωνυμία του χρήστη με τη χρήση κρυπτογραφικών ανώνυμων διαπιστευτηρίων, καθώς και την παροχή λύσεων ομοσπονδιακής σύνδεσης (Federated Login). Επίσης, αυτό το σύστημα, το οποίο μπορεί να είναι μια κεντρική οντότητα, είτε κατανεμημένο μέσω blockchain, παρέχει στο χρήστη τη δυνατότητα να ενοποιήσει, να διαχειριστεί, και να επαληθεύσει τη ταυτότητα του με ασφάλεια, χρησιμοποιώντας έγγραφα φυσικής ταυτότητας  και ψηφιακές του ταυτότητες σε διαδικτυακούς λογαριασμούς. 

Ο στόχος της θέσης ερευνητή για το INCOGNITO είναι η ανάπτυξη ευφυών συστημάτων και αλγορίθμων αυτοματοποιημένης επαλήθευσης και ενοποίησης της ταυτότητας του χρήστη, καθώς και αλγορίθμους αυτοματοποιημένης έγκρισης πρόσβασης σε υπηρεσίες με βάση παλαιότερες αποφάσεις από διαχειριστές του συστήματος, τα χαρακτηριστικά των χρηστών, την σχετική βεβαιότητα των μετρούμενων χαρακτηριστικών, και την κρισιμότητα του συγκεκριμένου πόρου.

Στο έργο INCOGNITO συμμετέχουν ο τηλεπικοινωνιακός φορέας Telefonica, ο παροχέας υπηρεσιών ασφάλειας υπολογιστών certSIGN, το πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, και μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις τεχνολογίας από Ισπανία και Ελλάδα. Ο τελικός στόχος του προγράμματος είναι να αξιολογηθούν οι εν λόγω τεχνολογίες από τελικούς χρήστες. Ο ερευνητικός συνεργάτης που θα προσληφθεί για τη πιο πάνω θέση, θα κληθεί να εμβαθύνει στα πεδία γνώσης της Μηχανικής Μάθησης και της Διαχείρισης, Επαλήθευσης και Ενοποίησης Ταυτότητας. Ένας επιτυχών υποψήφιος πρέπει να κατέχει εξαιρετική γνώση προπτυχιακού επιπέδου θεωρίας της Πληροφορικής ή/και της Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης, καθώς και εξαιρετικές δεξιότητες υλοποίησης λογισμικού σε γλώσσες υψηλού επιπέδου. Η επιθυμία εκπόνησης διδακτορικής διατριβής, (εξ ολοκλήρου ή εν μέρει) βασισμένης στα αποτελέσματα της εν λόγω έρευνας θα ληφθεί υπόψη ως θετικό στοιχείο.

Το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου συμμετέχει στα δυο πιο πάνω ερευνητικά προγράμματα με το εργαστήριο NetSySci (https://netsysci.cut.ac.cy/), κάτω από την ομπρέλα του Κέντρου Έρευνας Κοινωνικής Πληροφορικής (https://www.socialcomputing.eu/).

Οι υποψήφιοι για αυτή την θέση θα πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Εξειδικευμένη γνώση στα σχετικά γνωστικά  αντικείμενα (της Πληροφορικής).
2. Εξοικείωση με την Μηχανική Μάθηση ή την Στατιστική ή την Κρυπτογραφία θα αποτελεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν.
3. Πολύ καλές γνώσεις στα συστήματα Βάσεων Δεδομένων. Εξοικείωση με τεχνολογία blockchain θεωρείται επιπλέον προσόν.
4. Πολύ καλό θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο στους υπολογιστές, C/C++ ή Java ή PHP ή Python
5. Εκτενής εμπειρία προγραμματισμού σε γλώσσα υψηλού επιπέδου (high-level)

7. Πολύ καλή γνώση της Αγγλικής Γλώσσας
8. Εμπειρία στη διεκπεραίωση έρευνας/ών σχετικών με το γνωστικό αντικείμενο θα θεωρηθεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν.
9. Μεταπτυχιακό επιπέδου Μάστερ είναι επιπλέον προσόν
10. Επιθυμητό να σκοπεύει να εγγραφεί σε διδακτορικό πρόγραμμα στην ειδικότητα του αντικειμένου στο ΤΕΠΑΚ.

Η απασχόληση θα είναι για έξι (6) μήνες και ενδέχεται να ξεκινήσει τον Απρίλιο 2019, με προοπτική ανανέωσης μέχρι την λήξη του έργου 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2022. Οι μηνιαίες ακαθάριστες απόλαβες του υποψηφίου θα ανέρχονται στα €1316.25, σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά δεδομένα και την υφιστάμενη νομοθεσία. Σημειώνεται ότι, παρέχεται 13° μισθός, ο οποίος έχει ενσωματωθεί κατ’ αναλογία στη μηνιαία αντιμισθία.

Ο βασικός σκοπός του SECONDO είναι να βελτιστοποιήσει τις αποφάσεις σχετικά με τις επενδύσεις σε κυβερνοασφάλεια και την τιμολόγηση της ασφάλισης. Με απλά λόγια, το πρόγραμμα αποσκοπεί να υποστηρίξει επαγγελματίες που επιδιώκουν επενδύσεις στον τομέα της κυβερνοασφάλειας, με στόχο τη λήψη αποφάσεων από ανθρώπους και μια ολοκληρωμένη στρατηγική ασφάλειας. Είναι επίκαιρο ερευνητικό πρόβλημα, καθώς η ταχεία ανάπτυξη επιθέσεων στον κυβερνοχώρο αναμένεται να συνεχίσει την ανοδική της πορεία.

Ο στόχος της θέσης ερευνητή για το SECONDO είναι ο συνδυασμός στατιστικής και τεχνικών γνώσεων για την ανάπτυξη καινοτόμου λογισμικού για την ασφάλεια στον κυβερνοχώρο και η ανάπτυξη αλγορίθμων οι οποίοι θα βοηθήσουν τους χρήστες για τη λήψη αποφάσεων σε θέματα επένδυσης, υπολογισμού του ρίσκου, αλλά και τη τιμολόγηση της ασφάλισης.

Στο έργο SECONDO συμμετέχουν το πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς και Surrey, καθώς και μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις τεχνολογίας και έρευνας από Κύπρο, Ελλάδα και Ισπανία.

Ο ερευνητικός συνεργάτης που θα προσληφθεί για τη πιο πάνω θέση, θα κληθεί να εμβαθύνει στα πεδία γνώσης της Μηχανικής Μάθησης και της ανάπτυξης λογισμικού το οποίο θα ενσωματωθεί στο τελικό σύστημα του προγράμματος το οποίο θα χρησιμοποιηθεί από τελικούς χρήστες. Ένας επιτυχών υποψήφιος πρέπει να κατέχει εξαιρετική γνώση προπτυχιακού επιπέδου θεωρίας της Πληροφορικής ή/και της Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης και Κυβερνοασφάλειας, καθώς και εξαιρετικές δεξιότητες υλοποίησης λογισμικού σε γλώσσες υψηλού επιπέδου. Η επιθυμία εκπόνησης διδακτορικής διατριβής, (εξ ολοκλήρου ή εν μέρει) βασισμένης στα αποτελέσματα της εν λόγω έρευνας θα ληφθεί υπόψη ως θετικό στοιχείο.

Το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου συμμετέχει στο πιο πάνω πρόγραμμα με το εργαστήριο NetSySci (https://netsysci.cut.ac.cy/), κάτω από την ομπρέλα του Κέντρου Έρευνας Κοινωνικής Πληροφορικής (https://www.socialcomputing.eu/).

Οι υποψήφιοι για αυτή την θέση θα πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Εξειδικευμένη γνώση στα σχετικά γνωστικά  αντικείμενα (της Πληροφορικής).
2. Εξοικείωση με την Μηχανική Μάθηση ή την Στατιστική ή την Κρυπτογραφία θα αποτελεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν.
3. Πολύ καλές γνώσεις στα συστήματα Βάσεων Δεδομένων. Εξοικείωση με τεχνολογία blockchain θεωρείται επιπλέον προσόν.
4. Πολύ καλό θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο στους υπολογιστές, C/C++ ή Java ή PHP ή Python
5. Εκτενής εμπειρία προγραμματισμού σε γλώσσα υψηλού επιπέδου (high-level)
6. Οργανωτικές ικανότητες
7. Πολύ καλή γνώση της Αγγλικής Γλώσσας
8. Εμπειρία στη διεκπεραίωση έρευνας/ών σχετικών με το γνωστικό αντικείμενο θα θεωρηθεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν.
9. Μεταπτυχιακό επιπέδου Μάστερ θα θεωρηθεί ως επιπλέον προσόν
10. Επιθυμητό να σκοπεύει να εγγραφεί σε διδακτορικό πρόγραμμα στην ειδικότητα του αντικειμένου στο ΤΕΠΑΚ.

Η απασχόληση θα είναι για έξι (6) μήνες και ενδέχεται να ξεκινήσει τον Απρίλιο 2019, με προοπτική ανανέωσης μέχρι την λήξη του έργου 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2022. Οι μηνιαίες ακαθάριστες απόλαβες του υποψηφίου θα ανέρχονται στα €1316.25, σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά δεδομένα και την υφιστάμενη νομοθεσία. Σημειώνεται ότι, παρέχεται 13° μισθός, ο οποίος έχει ενσωματωθεί κατ’ αναλογία στη μηνιαία αντιμισθία.

Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι πρέπει να υποβάλουν τα ακόλουθα:

1. Επιστολή στην οποία να δηλώνουν το ενδιαφέρον τους και στην οποία να φαίνεται καθαρά η ημερομηνία κατά την οποία μπορούν να αναλάβουν καθήκοντα σε περίπτωση επιλογής
2. Σύντομη ανασκόπηση του ερευνητικού τους έργου, καθώς και σύντομη περιγραφή των μελλοντικών επιστημονικών τους σχεδίων (μέχρι 2 σελίδες)
3. Βιογραφικό Σημείωμα (στα Αγγλικά ή/και στα Ελληνικά)
4. Αποδεικτικά στοιχεία των προσόντων τους
5. Ονόματα δυο ατόμων από τους οποίους δυνατό να ζητηθούν συστάσεις
6. Στοιχεία επικοινωνίας

ΠΕΡΙΟΔΟΣ ΑΠΑΣΧΟΛΗΣΗΣ:  Εαρινό Εξάμηνο 2018/2019 (Ιανουάριος 2019 – Μάιος 2019)

Το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου δέχεται αιτήσεις για την πλήρωση των πιο κάτω θέσεων Ειδικών Επιστημόνων για κάλυψη αναγκών διδασκαλίας του πιο πάνω Τμήματος για το ακόλουθο μάθημα:

Σημειώνεται ότι:

α. Η προκήρυξη για το πιο πάνω μάθημα ισχύει νοουμένου ότι θα υπάρχει επαρκές κονδύλι στον προϋπολογισμό του Πανεπιστημίου για το έτος 2019.
β. Το πιο πάνω μάθημα θα προσφερθεί εάν συμπληρωθεί ο απαραίτητος αριθμός ενδιαφερομένων φοιτητών σύμφωνα με τους σχετικούς κανονισμούς του Πανεπιστημίου.
γ. Οι πιο πάνω ώρες πιθανόν να τύχουν τροποποίησης.
δ. Το πανεπιστήμιο διατηρεί το δικαίωμα να μην πληρώσει τη θέση στην περίπτωση που αλλάξουν τα δεδομένα.

Οι υποψήφιοι πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Διδακτορικό τίτλο από αναγνωρισμένο πανεπιστήμιο σε θέμα σχετικό με το γνωστικό   αντικείμενο της θέσης.
2. Πολύ καλή γνώση της Ελληνικής και Αγγλικής γλώσσας.
3. Εμπειρία στη διδασκαλία πανεπιστημιακού επιπέδου.

Η αμοιβή των Ειδικών Επιστημόνων κυμαίνεται από €34 – €68 την ώρα αναλόγως προσόντων και της φύσης των καθηκόντων. Η πληρωμή γίνεται ως εξής: αμοιβή x ώρες διδασκαλίας/την εβδομάδα x 14 βδομάδες για το Εαρινό Εξάμηνο. Σημειώνεται ότι, οι Ειδικοί Επιστήμονες υποχρεούνται να αναπληρώσουν τα μαθήματα που δεν θα πραγματοποιηθούν λόγω των αργιών 11 Μαρτίου 2019, 25 Μαρτίου 2019 και 1 Μαΐου 2019, εάν και εφόσον η ημερομηνία αυτή εμπίπτει στο πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας του συγκεκριμένου μαθήματος.

Οι υποψήφιοι δεν είναι απαραίτητο να είναι πολίτες της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.

Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι ενδέχεται να κληθούν σε προφορική συνέντευξη μεταξύ 5 Δεκεμβρίου 2018 μέχρι 12 Δεκεμβρίου 2018 για την πλήρωση των πιο πάνω θέσεων.    

Σημειώνεται ότι:

3. Αποδεικτικά Στοιχεία των προσόντων τους

Τα πιο πάνω στοιχεία θα πρέπει να υποβληθούν, σε μορφή PDF (PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT – Συνιστάται το ανέβασμα ενός (1) μόνο αρχείου το οποίο θα περιλαμβάνει όλα τα απαραίτητα συνοδευτικά έντυπα (εφόσον είναι εφικτό).

Συνοδευτικά στοιχεία που έχουν υποβληθεί στο παρελθόν δε λαμβάνονται υπόψη και πρέπει να υποβληθούν εκ νέου.
