POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS OR SPECIAL SCIENTISTIS FOR RESEARCH / RESEARCHERS C’ POSITIONS

Project description and responsibilities

CUT (Nursing Department) is the coordinator of a research project funded by the European EU4Health program and entitled 'Developing a Country-Observatory for sharing best practices for vaccination promotion'. The Co-OPERATOR project aims to develop and pilot a knowledge hub, a virtual observatory and a training system in the participating countries, as a proof of concept that will collect, organize and disseminate knowledge, best practices and leveraging resources for vaccination needs against COVID-19 and beyond, with an emphasis on promoting communication, knowledge skills, recognizing and addressing systemic barriers to promoting vaccination messages to the population. Theoretical frameworks from the behavioral sciences such as the COM-B and 7C models are used to allow mapping the needs of different countries and where policy makers should focus their efforts and target their interventions. A policy-making workshop will enable the translation of research data into policy-making proposals to be piloted in five Member States (Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Portugal). The Research Fellow will have the role of coordinating the scientific and accounting parameters of the project, communicating with partners, coordinating the submission of progress reports and organizing the network meetings. Finally, (s)he will coordinate with the Scientific Manager of the project and the other researchers for the deliverables of the project.

The required qualifications for each of the categories are as follows:

1. For Special Scientist for Research / Researcher C’ position

Applicants should have:

• A master’s degree from a recognized university in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Health-related sciences such as Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences etc.
• Experience in research project management of national and/or European grants
• Organizational skills
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

The following will be considered as an advantage:

• Possession of a Ph.D. title in the relevant fields of study.

1. For Postdoctoral Researcher position

The monthly gross earnings, based on the project budget (employer cost), will amount from €913,29 to €1826.59 for the year 2023 and from €908.55 to €1817.10 for the year 2024 (due to an increase of employer contributions to the various government funds), according to current data and current legislation. It is noted that a 13th salary is provided, which has been incorporated proportionally into the monthly remuneration. The final terms of employment (gross monthly earnings and number of working hours per month) will be determined based on the profiles of the selected individuals. The employment period will be for twelve (12) months with the prospect of renewal for another 24 months.

Σημειώνεται ότι η έδρα των ατόμων που θα επιλεγούν θα είναι η Λεμεσός και/ή η Πάφος και/ή οποιαδήποτε άλλη Επαρχία της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.

Οι υποψήφιοι πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Διδακτορικό τίτλο από αναγνωρισμένο πανεπιστήμιο σε θέμα σχετικό με το γνωστικό αντικείμενο της θέσης για τα μαθήματα NUR_110, NUR_217, NUR_261,  και NUR_414.
2. Διδακτορικό ή Μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο από αναγνωρισμένο πανεπιστήμιο σε θέμα σχετικό με το γνωστικό   αντικείμενο της θέσης για το μάθημα NUR_459 και τα Εργαστήρια του μαθήματος NUR_114.
3. Πολύ καλή γνώση της Ελληνικής και Αγγλικής γλώσσας.
4. Εμπειρία στη διδασκαλία πανεπιστημιακού επιπέδου.
5. Κατοχή πτυχίου Νοσηλευτικής και αποδεδειγμένη ικανότητα διδασκαλίας το μάθημα NUR_459 για την κάθε ειδικότητα ξεχωριστά.
6. Αποδεδειγμένη γνώση Χειρουργικής Νοσηλευτικής για το μάθημα NUR_459 ειδικότητα Νοσηλευτική Χειρουργείου και αποδεδειγμένη γνώση στο τραύμα για την ειδικότητα προνοσοκομειακή και ενδονοσοκομειακή εκτίμηση, αντιμετώπιση και φροντίδα ασθενή με τραύμα.

Η αμοιβή των Ειδικών Επιστημόνων (γυναικών και ανδρών) κυμαίνεται από €34 – €68 την ώρα αναλόγως προσόντων και της φύσης των καθηκόντων. Η πληρωμή γίνεται ως εξής: αμοιβή x ώρες διδασκαλίας/την εβδομάδα x 14 βδομάδες για το Εαρινό Εξάμηνο. Σημειώνεται ότι, οι Ειδικές/οί Επιστήμονες υποχρεούνται να αναπληρώσουν τα μαθήματα που δεν θα πραγματοποιηθούν λόγω των αργιών 7 Μαρτίου 2022, 25 Μαρτίου 2022 και 1 Απριλίου 2022, εάν και εφόσον η ημερομηνία αυτή εμπίπτει στο πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας του συγκεκριμένου μαθήματος.

Οι υποψήφιες/οι δεν είναι απαραίτητο να είναι πολίτες της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.

Οι ενδιαφερόμενες/οι ενδέχεται να κληθούν σε προφορική συνέντευξη μεταξύ 6 Δεκεμβρίου 2021 και 12 Δεκεμβρίου 2021 για την πλήρωση των πιο πάνω θέσεων.

Τα πιο πάνω στοιχεία θα πρέπει να υποβληθούν, σε μορφή PDF (PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT – Συνίσταται το ανέβασμα ενός (1) μόνο αρχείου το οποίο θα περιλαμβάνει όλα τα απαραίτητα συνοδευτικά έντυπα (εφόσον είναι εφικτό).

Το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου δέχεται αιτήσεις για την πλήρωση των πιο κάτω θέσεων Ειδικών Επιστημόνων (γυναικών και ανδρών) για κάλυψη αναγκών διδασκαλίας του πιο πάνω Τμήματος για τα ακόλουθα μαθήματα:

Σημειώνεται ότι:

α.         Η προκήρυξη για τα πιο πάνω μαθήματα ισχύει νοουμένου ότι θα υπάρχει επαρκές κονδύλι στον προϋπολογισμό του Πανεπιστημίου για το έτος 2021.

β.         Τα πιο πάνω μαθήματα θα προσφερθούν εάν συμπληρωθεί ο απαραίτητος αριθμός ενδιαφερομένων φοιτητριών/ών σύμφωνα με τους σχετικούς κανονισμούς του Πανεπιστημίου.

γ.         Οι πιο πάνω ώρες πιθανόν να τύχουν τροποποίησης.

Applicants for all academic positions should have a doctorate degree from a recognized University. The university reserves the right to request recognition of the doctorate degree from the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (K.Y.S.A.T.S).
